Secret Santa, Secret Santa – the office’s answer to making buying colleague’s gifts more fun and pocket-friendly. Minus the odd embarrassment, disappointment and ‘big mistake’, most years Secret Santa is just harmless fun – but we still like some fresh ideas to help us pick out the best gifts possible. Will it be a humorous gift this year?
Perhaps something practical where you couldn’t possibly go wrong? Maybe you take a real easy route and just get something with some festive theme, or if you think you know the person well enough, buy a decorative item that will please their personal tastes. I love to make a reasonably inexpensive gift a bit more thoughtful by having it personalized. I find that the receiver always appreciates it more.

• A Personalized Calendar – You can’t go wrong with a personalized calendar, with thousands of designs you are bound to find one for the Brad Pitt stalker, the fast car fanatic or the cake connoisseur. Each monthly design can have their name incorporate into it – or for some humor, you could have a photo of them set in various backgrounds. (That would be good for the one who always complains they need a vacation!)
• A Personalized Mug – Office workers need their tea and coffee throughout the day to function. Like the calendars, there are many designs to choose from, and you only have to find out something they like to provide this gift. Fully practical too of course – why not purchase some special teas or a good coffee blend to go with it?
