Different generations define “privacy” in a different manner. What’s allowable today are certainly frowned upon in the past? Does that mean that we have become more trusting, more comfortable when it comes to sharing personal information, even those which are very private? Perhaps, and the greatest factor to all these changes is, drum roll please, social networking.
If you think about it, it makes all sense. Social networking made us share more information than we normally would. Even during the past decade when text messaging was well alive and kicking, we never shared as much information as we are doing now. Going to your corner coffee shop for a quick cup? You shout it out to the world first. Going on a vacation with your friends? Not only do you shout it out to the world. You also accompany it with pictures to show proof. The very nature of these social networking sites prompts us to share more; there is a great pressure to share and share, and because we don’t really feel that we have that much people listening to us, we are lulled to this false sense of privacy.
Think about it – you may have 700 friends on Facebook, but you only regularly talk to a handful, and you only see the updates of a dozen or so at any time. So you don’t really feel like you are sharing your vacation photos with some seven hundred people. At the end of the day, it’s all about how comfortable you are in sharing information. There are certain risks associated with divulging information, but it is up to you, really. Being aware of the effects of sharing will perhaps make you more conscious.

With the social networking it looks like we don’t have privacy anymore. What scares me is to those parents/mother who shout out using their 4g phone that they are here and there with their kids. We don’t know who in the world could see or read the shout out and if so happened that your family is being stalked patay kang bata ka!! ^_^ I also found out that this new cellphone has gps in your photo? That is scary and I don’t like it!! Thanks for the visit I do appreciate it! ^_^
Hello!! Sorry di ko nakita yung message mo. I am selling this slimming coffee, one box may 18 sachets $25.00/box so it take you 18 days each box. You drink it sa morning like your ordinary coffee, I put a little sugar, kasi walang lasa very bland. I tried this last December medyo end of December na. After I am done with the first box nag lose ako nang 5 lbs agad. Na excited ako kasi of all the weight loss na mabili over the counter sa mga drug store natin dito walang epekto sa akin. At minsan pa I have to stopped taking it kasi some mag palpate yung heart ko. So when I tried this namangha ako umepekto sa akin, eh sa idad ko na to talagang “magpalaban na gyud ug slimming pills/tea/ coffee whatever” hahahahaha. Pero dito ako nagka-hiyang. I am already in my 5 box, and I still have to dropped more pounds para ma attain ko yung weight appropriate for my age and height para walang mga sa sakit2x ^_^ Eh medyo malapit na tayo sa half century old hehe. Lumaki kasi ako nung dumating ako dito and I just didn’t take much noticed until I don’t like it anymore.
bumisita lang sa iyo..
The advent of social networking seems like it’s inviting lots of hackers and identity theft. I dont put all my personal infos in social networking. even our blogging biznis, we are sharing info but it’s safer than social networking i guess because this blog thingy its protected while social networking its not
